QC business tax assessment, payment now online

– Janvic Mateo

Business owners in Quezon City may now request an assessment online and pay their business taxes without going to city hall.

Mayor Joy Belmonte said the new program, which expands the city’s e-services platform, is part of the streamlining efforts of the local government for local business owners.

“We are returning the favor to our business owners who are among the primary drivers of our growth. By delivering efficient systems and services, the city government can help them save time and focus more on growing their businesses,” she said.

The city earlier rolled out the service allowing entrepreneurs to apply for business permits online.

City treasurer Ed Villanueva said all business owners who wish to request for assessment may do so via the QC E-Services portal (https:// qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph) under the “Pay Business Tax” menu.

Both businesses registered in the Bureau of Internal Revenue and those that are not registered like sari-sari stores may use the online application.

Taxpayers can choose to pay online or via manual payment at any branch of Landbank of the Philippines.

Belmonte reminded taxpayers to be vigilant and report fixers via the “People’s Corner” available at the official website of the city government.
