THE SEARCH for Outstanding Accounting Students of the Philippines (SOASP) enters its 25th year to another momentous milestone as it celebrates and highlights outstanding accounting students nationwide. Last Sept. 13, P&A Foundation Inc., (P&A Foundation), the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), and the Association of Certified Public Accountants in Commerce and Industry (ACPACI), have signed a memorandum of agreement that built another notable legacy for promising accounting students.
The exceptional leaders who signed this partnership include (from L-R, in photo) SOASP Adviser Edward D. Roguel, P&A Foundation Chairperson Romualdo V. Murcia III, PICPA National President Atty. Randy B. Blanza, ACPACI National President Anna Lissa Chua-Dycaico, P&A SOASP Project-in-Charge Elano C. Marcelo, and P&A Foundation Trustee Atty. Olivier D. Aznar. Also signed were ACPACI SOASP Chair Marc John M. Guiab, P&A Foundation Trustee Michael C. Gallego, and PICPA National Sectoral Director for Education Vicente C. Gudani.
All parties agree that SOASP has always been consistent with its core values: to recognize excellent accounting students who identify with skills and capabilities. For 25 years, SOASP’s main goal is to showcase the competence of accounting students from all over the Philippines through a battle of knowledge and wit and has helped many accounting students from far beyond.
The said organizations hope that SOASP will bring back the love for the profession and enlighten a bright future ahead for remarkable accounting students.
Updates and guidelines regarding 25th edition of SOASP will be announced soon.
